Myth #21: Polish girls are gorgeous
I realise I’m taking my life in my hands here but the truth must be told. Western men (heterosexual ones at least) visiting Poland for the first time tend to be blown away by Polish girls. Then they go home and tell all their friends that Poland is stuffed full of super-gorgeous babes and the myth spreads. I’ve looked into this issue very carefully (it was tough work but it had to be done) and I’ve come to the following conclusions. Polish women are not intrinsically any better looking than the women of any other nation but they do have several qualities that make them seem like they are:
1. They are much slimmer than western women. I put this down to the fact that they eat far less rubbish than westerners in general and drink less alcohol than western women.
2. They dress much better than most western women. This doesn’t mean they dress more expensively, in fact just the opposite. The average young Polish women has little money to spare for fancy clothes and is likely to spend what money she does have on fairly sober and practical items. This tends to make them look casually sophisticated and enticingly understated.
3. They are more conservative than western women. This means that they tend to be more demure and present themselves with what could be called ‘old fashioned’ femininity. This is, of course, probably very bad for Polish women themselves but it makes simple-minded western males go all weak at the knees… at least at first.
4. They have sexy accents. To the uneducated western ear a Polish accent is indistinguishable from a Russian accent. Western men grew up on a diet of James Bond movies in which the sexiest women were always Russian agents who wore nothing under their fur coats. Slavic accents are sexy. Its a reflex built into us from the age of fourteen.
Strangely, however, if you ask Polish men who the most attractive Polish women are they tend to go for bizarre hyper-Barbie figures with inflated chests and hideously exaggerated makeup. A strange character called Doda springs to mind. Weird.

mike… hehe we’re talking about polish girls not older generations. some people(in some countries, i won’t say which countries, so i don’t sound rude) stop looking nice and sexy after they find a guy who they marry and the polish girls(in general)start looking even better after that :)

It is also about ratio beautiful/ugly. I think this ratio in Poland is pretty positive towards beautiful.

k.. so i live in canada and i have a polish background.. im very fluent in the language and what not.. me and my best bud go to poland every summer just cause the girls there are too effin hot.. their just too good.. their smart and one of the best looking women ive seen in the world and believe me ive been to many countries.. #2 on my list are czech girls..

The Polish women that I have met have been pleasant to look at but far too highly-strung, overly emotional and drama queens. They also have a very strange attitude towards material possessions, tending to believe that what a man has, belongs to them. And boy can they be nasty when they do not get what they want,

I Think that in every country there are beautiful girls and less beautifull girls .Im polish but I live in London and I have to say that polish girls are most of the best students . Most polish girls give a good impression here but there are some that just spoil our reputation completely .I think that if a lot of people say that Polish girls are nice and well brought up women then there most be some truth in that . There are pretty people and ugly people in all Europe. I think Northern Europe look pretty good. But in movies and tv you can only see the good looking, for example here in my country Portugal good looking girls in the tv are not representative of the portuguese average girl, for example i am way uglier than the girls on tv and that.

I live in the states and every time i meet a polish girl i am disappointed at how full of themselves they are. they are arrogant and selfish. they hold mediocre jobs waiting on a man to marry them and provide for them and in the meantime they hate everything about the united states. i dont get people who come to the u.s. and keep saying how poland is so much better. is it insecurity? anyway, you guys can keep your polish girls…i will take a down-south, home-grown, texas girl any day. sweet as pie, rides horses, loves her mama and makes her man feel like he’s the only one in the world. sunkissed skin, blonde hair and a cowboy hat… she might even know how to fix your pick up truck for ya. :-)
When I was there in 1993 they were the prettiest and most shapely women I saw within 5 (or was it 6?) Eastern European countries. The Polish person on the street seemed more with it mentally then say your average American. Still don’t know how “Polish jokes” got started.

Man, you got this one wrong. Polish woman are absolutely beautiful. Psychologically….uh, that’s a different story, because no matter how ‘sex in the city’ the modern Polish women may think they are, well, they still have the same rigid, outdated, conservative mindset that the rest of this country has: get married young, make babies before the old age of 27, go to church weekly, visit yours (and your husband’s) family as often as possible, etc.

My girlfriend’s polish, shes very independent and very hot. But she tends to be very caring but at the same time cold in her way of doing things most of the times and a very very big drama queen, and too sensitive. I met only a few polish girls, but they tend to be big drama queens. From what i also saw, they tend to be very well educated, well mannered and smart.
