If you’re looking for Polandian’s new location – go no further, you’re here!

As explained by Jamie on the old site, we’ve moved here to give us more control over our own destiny than might be expected from the free and excellent but basic platform available on WordPress servers. Now we are on our own server we can start a process of evolution, get better data and make use of such widgets as may enhance the site, commercial or otherwise.

Hopefully you’ll not notice much, if any, difference from the old site but we’re very interested to hear about anything you find particularly helpful or annoying. This is all very new and we’ve not had the opportunity to test either the software or the server host so please let us know if something is not working for you.

We have taken a server package that we think reflects best the amount of traffic (bandwidth) that Polandian is likely to get. Having said that, none of us are IT experts and so our “back of a fag packet” calculations might easily be wrong. If they are this could lead to slower navigation or, in extreme cases, warping of the space time continuum. If you suffer badly from either of these please let us know and we’ll look at upgrading.

The old site will remain in place for a while but there is the possibility that the best solution in the medium term is to delete it. We therefore encourage you to change your bookmarks, RSS feeds or whatever other method you used to get to Polandian and make it point here instead. Also, if you had any favourite posts, ones you often referred back to, on the old site please take a moment to check that they have reappeared here. A tame robot did the moving and nobody really checked what he was doing!

You’ll notice the address bar shows polandian.home.pl as the address, that is where Polandian sits, technically speaking. We also own the domains polandian.pl and polandian.com so either of those will also bring you here.

To avoid the confusion of too many addresses, we will be using polandian.com as our “official address” from now on.
