Now it's cheaper to "rent a father" for only 3 tousend zlotys Vietnamese women buy the fatherhood for their children from the polish guys who need money for example for another małpka/bączek or szpaczek=0,25 l of vodka.
Nobody ask why the child seems not at all be similar to the father, because only his word and acceptance kid as his son or daughter is valid.

Hm, no positive comments about other readers?;)
One more time:
Widphelps: you should start writing a series of articles about some rules in pl. I've never known that the knowledge about pl culture is so important;)
Island1: Poor Ninio, alone in hostile Poznan.... ;)

siuniab & wildphelps: Thanks for the clarification. This is why I never normally do news – it involves knowing things and research.

Bob: Ninio the elephant is a Teletubby in disguise? A fascinating, if disturbing, thought.

Based on my experiences, I would have to agree with Siuniab. Citizenship would require at least three/four years - 2 years as a temporary resident, then applying and having permanent residency granted, then immediately applying for citizenship (if you have been married to the Pole for at least three years). It would also entail at least three separate interviews with your friendly neighborhood police officer as well as submitting earnings statements, tax documents from your home country, birth certificates, marriage certificates, zameldowanies (and those are so easy to get), passing a written and oral exam on the great Polish football teams of the 70s, singing acappella versions of Shaza's classic "Jestes Szalony" and Bobby Vinton's "Melody of Love", and helping someone push start a Polski Fiat 126. In winter. And there are some fees.

Hi:
As someone who is in the (verly long) process of confirming Polish citizenship, I wanted to point out that a spouse of a Polish citizen does NOT acquire Polish citizenship upon marriage. The length of time for naturalization is shortened, but citizenship is not conferred. Maybe all these non-EU nationals are really in love. :)

Peruvian Journalists use to say that in Peru they can complain of almost everything but boredom... I'm starting to think it is the same thing for their Polish colleagues.
¡Saludos!

Note: Scatts wrote some of this too, but I don't know how to make it appear as a joint post because I'm mentally slow.
