Island 1, is Jamie Stokes, an English person with bafflingly unclear motives for living in Poland. He writes stuff and sometimes gets paid for it.

So many Polish people asked me what I thought of Poland and its inhabitants that I eventually decided to tell them by writing a blog about it. I strive to be honest, fair, and balanced in my opinions and to annoy people just a little bit from time to time.

Jamie Stokes currently lives at a minimum-security facility in Kraków and is now allowed sharp objects under supervision.

Scatts, is Ian Scattergood, another English guy but one who knows exactly why he’s in Poland. He loves the place almost as much as his Polish wife, Ponglish daughter and adopted Polish family. He likes a challenge and finding room for a full time ‘corporate’ job, family and two blogs is a big one. He’s lived in Warsaw for longer than most current residents of the city and his biggest ambition is to get a dowód osobisty before they find an excuse to deport him.

We, Polish people, often tend to see foreigners as hopelessly unable comprehend our complicated reality, history and everything. I just enjoy to follow how they try;)
